Cartolina 1st & 6th April

Wednesday 1 April at 7.30 pm, repeated on Monday 6th at 10.30 am: the last program of the Neapolitan song series is about Sole e Luna, sun and moon, that obviously have a great part in either love songs or landscape descriptions. A few songs have been chosen, in which sole e luna are paramount, from O sole mio to Luna Rossa, also to pay homage to the Italian boats on the Hauraki Gulf.. And here is the rest of it.

Cartolina 18 & 23 March

Wednesday 18 March at 7.30 pm, repeated on Monday 23rd at 10.30 am: La Malafemmena, or the bad woman (usually called so for just not reciprocating the singer’s love...). Our true Neapolitan-in-residence, Tilde Romano, explains the peculiar attitude of Neapolitan men that inspires the Malafemmena phenomenon. Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of songs to play!
