The Italian architect Roberto Capocaccia is a keen singer of classic repertoire, and a lover of modern music. He tells about the career and life of the Italian singer and composer Umberto Bindi, and of the social and cultural landscape of Italy in the 50s and 60s. We play Bindi's most famous songs: Il nostro concerto, Riviera, Arrivederci in the first programme, and Vento di mare, La musica e` finita, Lasciatemi sognare in the second programme.

Rebecca Wilson (teacher) and Scott Kinley (principal) of the Bromley School are running a learning programme based on the Reggio Emilia approach.

They tell how this method worked for their school and how it’s being expanded to other schools. We play songs from the Zecchino d’Oro (children songs contest).

On the phone from Wellington, Carolina Izzo tells about her career as an art restorer in Italy and in New Zealand, where she worked for 6 years at Te Papa. Already dividing her time between her two studies in Auckland and Wellington, she’s just being assigned the task of restoring the dome of the Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch.

Lucia Digirolamo is an Italian restorer presently in Christchurch. Lucia is specialized in stone, both statues and buildings, and is looking for work in this field. She tells about the surprising discoveries made while restoring the Basilica in Padua.
